“I want to create a school that holds high expectations for students from day one. My students are what drive me to do this work, the grit and determination they bring to accomplishing their goals matches and fuels my own.” Brianna Lanoye plans to start a school that sets high expectations for children and adults, where students are excited by challenges, eager to learn, and can achieve anything.

Brianna joined Teach For America in 2015, and served as the first member of the corps Member Advisory Board in TFA Buffalo. She then taught fifth grade in Buffalo Public Schools and served as the Director of the Spectrum Theatre Program, where she built social skills and self-confidence in students on the spectrum. She also served as a Summer Program Teacher at the Martha Mitchell Community Center’s Say Yes Summer Program. “The vision that every student deserves to have access to an excellent education, to attend the college of their choice, and live the life they deserve,” drives Brianna to open an exceptional school in Buffalo.

Brianna holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance from Niagara University and a Master of Science in Childhood Education, Students with Disabilities, from Canisius College.
