Kenneth Campbell has decades of experience in creating educational opportunity, and is widely respected as an education leader within his community. As Executive Director for Baton Rouge at IDEA Public Schools, he works to secure charters, identify school sites, raise funds, manage a top-notch team, and cultivate community partnerships. Ken previously served as President of the Black Alliance for Educational Options. Under his leadership BAEO created, protected, and advocated for high-quality school options in some of the nation’s most underserved communities. Prior to BAEO, Ken worked as the Director of Charter Schools for the Louisiana Department of Education where he was responsible for creating many of the systems, policies, and best practices that in turn produced a high-quality charter sector in Louisiana. He routinely advises the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools and the National Association of Charter School Authorizers on standards, practices, and policies.
