The Network Memo
The Network challenges and supports high-capacity leaders
to examine and improve the quality growth of their schools.
Thank You for Your Strong Work at the May 2017 Network Leaders Meeting.
Earlier this month we engaged in the urgent work of remaining honest about and committed to the work we share: closing the achievement gap without apology and without excuse.
Together, we examined key practices driving results in this country’s highest performing schools.
Together, we addressed crucial questions on college and career readiness, adult culture, change management, fund development, and interim assessments.
From all of you, we heard the same refrain: Our students can achieve, and it is up to us to make that happen. We are honored to be in the work with you.

2017-2018 Network Membership and Support Services: Over 90 percent of Network leaders reported that there is clear value in being a member of The Network in 2016-2017. Over the past year, we have been honored to work with and alongside you to achieve incredible growth and continued success at each of your schools. Our deepest gratitude goes to each of you in this work. We are looking forward to continuing to support and challenge each of you in 2017-2018. To this end, Network membership invoices will be sent July 1 and will be due back July 31. 2017-2018 Membership and Support Services will begin August 1.
2017-2018 Strategic Support Reviews: Last year, 100% of Network schools reported that their Strategic Support Review was Highly Effective or Effective. The goal of the Strategic Support Review (SSR) is to thin-slice the organizational health of the school, identifying levers that will continue to drive the strength and integrity of the organization. By the end of the review, a concrete action plan that fully equips the School’s Leadership to lead the school to its next stage of success will be created. Using data collected from SSR surveys, we have begun to assemble your Strategic Support Review team. We will be in touch next month to identify potential dates, and to discuss further details and logistics. Should you have any questions or concerns before that time, please do not hesitate to reach out at your convenience.
