As Director of Anchoring Excellence, Luke provides continued high-impact, mission-driven Executive Coaching to executive directors and schools in the program’s cohort. Prior to joining BES, Luke served as the founding Chief Academic Officer of KIPP Delta Public Schools from 2011 to 2016, where the first six graduating classes had a college persistence rate of 76 percent. Luke was the founding school leader of KIPP Delta Collegiate High School from 2007 to 2011 which had 100% college-acceptance for its graduates and was ranked the No. 2 high school in Arkansas by U.S. News and World Report.  Luke taught math classes from 6th grade through AP Calculus. He was a 2002 Teach For America Mississippi Delta Corps member. Luke received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Communications, and Religion from Purdue University, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from National-Louis University. He lives in Indianapolis with his wife and six children.
